An Actress's Take on All-Things-Screen

Boxing Day Blues

Happy Boxing Day, friends! Have you had a wonderful Christmas so far? I’ve eaten too much, drank too much and watched lots of stuff on the box. It’s been great. There has only been a small bunch of us this year and it was actually pretty lovely. It meant we could do what we want most of the time. And for me that was watching lots of films…

I have to say I have been a bit disappointed with the line up of Christmas television and films this year. Christmas Eve brought us things like Lady in the Van (though I can’t say I’m all that fond of it – hence why I haven’t mentioned it in previous posts) and Christmas Day brought shows like Call the Midwife. And….Call the Midwife. I can’t say I was blown away.

As I DID mention in a previous post however, new two-part drama A Witness for the Prosecution starts on BBC One at 9pm tonight. It starts Kim Cattrall – a wonderful actress – so i’m hopeful!

Other shows to look out for today are Big (the legendary film with Tom Hanks) at 11.55am on E4 (yes I know you’re probably out walking but equally lots of you will still be passed out on the sofa!). As well as Pixar’s Brave on BBC1 at 2.40pm, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on ITV at 4.10pm and Pride at 10.30pm.

Please follow me on Instagram in the meantime (@screensterblog). I post daily pictures about what you should be watching, which gives you a little boost in between my posts! As well as on XXY Magazine (www.xxymagazine.com) – where I give my latest film reviews. La La Land (a full review) will be up there soon!

I hope you have had wonderful Christmases. Filled with love, laughter, happiness (and some decent shows).

Love,

Screenster
