An Actress's Take on All-Things-Screen

Amber Lynn

Rings a bell doesn’t it.

I caught up with new TV mini-series on BBC1, Love, Nina this weekend. What a refreshing programme. The star of the show is Faye Ramsey- I didn’t recognise her, but she has some great credits on her CV. She carried the character Nina perfectly. Her relationship with the two boys she is the live-in nanny of, is wonderful.

(The best moment has to be when they are doing homework about Henry VIII’s wives. The camera pans past one of the boys’ drawings quickly. You get a glimpse of his spelling of the second wife’s name. It’s gold)

I also watched the last installment of The Secret on ITV Player. My God. What a harrowing story. But excellently conveyed through James Nesbitt and Genevieve O’Reilly who I hope will be on our screens a lot more.

There are some good’uns out there if you look for them. Here to help!
