Is not gold. Have you been watching GLOW on Netflix? I can’t say i’m that impressed so far. It’s a bit of a slow burner and definitely offensive in various places (though it is depicting the 80s, so I guess it’s pretty accurate). But hey – slow burners can be good sometimes! Take http://tcarltons.com/ralph-lauren-c-7.html?zenid=va0cvjin91e263eviqdurg3225 Breaking Bad for instance. I wouldn’t have stuck with it if I wasn’t told it was worth the wait. Now THAT was a slow burner. Quite literally. But I kept going and boy was I rewarded.
What else do we have to look forward to this week? For me it’s all about http://smartcitiesexpoworldforum.com/logo3/ GYPSY on Netflix (yes it’s in capitals because i’m that enthusiastic). It stars Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup and tells the story of a married (to a man) psychotherapist who starts embarking on relationships with her patients’ partners (who are women). It looks juicy and I can’t wait to get into it. See, that’s the trouble. I think it’s easy to get seduced by programmes that look all shiny and new but aren’t actually that great. I do love Betty Gilpin and to be fair i’m only two episodes in so far, but I just wish there was a punchier script….
Please watch the remnants of http://manning-elliott.co.uk/veterinary-practice-catterlen/ White Gold if you haven’t already. It’s still on iPlayer. You also need to see Gifted and http://powersresources.com/index.php/helwsoui24inplage-r1fi8qhgls-4riq230m8lus-p48219y Baby Driver at the cinema (as always, I recommend your local Picturehouse). I still haven’t yet – I’ve been a bit distracted. But I can’t wait!
