An Actress's Take on All-Things-Screen

Doctors and Nurses

There’s something about a medical drama. The hustle, the bustle, the needles (eww), the emergencies, the drama.

My housemate and I love Nurse Jackie. It’s just a wonderful programme. Edie Falco plays the troubled Jackie. She is everything you’d hope a nurse to be and everything you’d hope they aren’t. If you haven’t already, please watch it. If only for Falco’s acting alone. She really is stunning.

And since we’re on the topic of women in medicine, how about Doctor Foster tonight on BBC1, eh? Tonight at 9- you must tune in. It’s a fantastic portrayal of a woman scorned in the eyes of her cheating husband. And yet an incredibly frustrating watch as you witness Foster unravel between your very eyes. Will she let him just get away with it?

I cannot WAIT for tonight. But first, netball!
